The dance department at Davis High strives to offer professional-quality dance instruction and education. Our advanced programs and courses are designed to prepare dancers for a future in dance, whether as a dance professional, at a university dance program, or teaching dance at a private studio. Other dance courses are designed to enrich any student that wants to learn more about and be involved with the art form of dance.

Dance Company, our advanced performing company sanctioned under UDEO, is run similar to a college-level dance performance program and is the highest level of dance at Davis High, with an emphasis on contemporary, jazz, ballet, and modern styles. Learn more over at the Dance Company page or by contacting the Artistic Director. Dance Company is the best platform at Davis High for dance instruction, training, and growth as an artist.

Advanced Dance Technique & Choreography is a class by invitation or request only and requires established dance training (enrollment is open to current members of Dance Company, DHS Drill team, or those with equivalent dance training). This class is focused on advanced technique and is highly recommended for any student considering pursuing dance after high school.

CE Dance and Social Dance are open enrollment for dancers or non-dancers on any level. CE Dance is a movement-focused class that provides for a college CE credit and explores a wide variety of movement and dance styles. Social Dance is a fun, engaging class that exclusively focuses on social dance styles and partner dances.
